Conquering Awkward Infections

Urinary Tract Infections and Yeast infections are THE WORST. It leaves you feeling gross, itchy and wondering if you will ever beat this. Rest assured, you will!! It may not happen as quickly as you hoped, but you can beat this without antibiotics, almost every time.

For starters, the best way to avoid infections in your reproductive area, is to change your diet. Sugars, carbs, processed foods and dehydration contribute to bacteria that cause urinary tract and yeast infections. Candida is one of the main offenders, and most people have guts that are RIDDLED with Candida. Coffee enemas, and strong probiotics can help with reducing Candida.

Wear breathable cotton underwear, and wash them with NON-SCENTED laundry detergent. Fragrances directly applied to your vulva through your underwear can absolutely disturb the natural flora. This applies to feminine hygiene washes, pads, tampons, lubricants, and soaps that have synthetic fragrances added.


For a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), this is what I use:

D-Mannose (blended with cranberry, dandelion and hibiscus)


I usually see a clear up of symptoms within a day or two, but continue to use for a whole week to make sure that my urinary tract is truly clean! I also use Urinalysis strips to tell me when my leukocytes have officially cleared out, indicating that the infection is gone, and my urinary tract is clear.


For a yeast infection, there is a little more involved, and I go full-force fighting against yeast infections, because they are not as easy to make go away and are usually a clear sign that something is very off in your gut, so this to me, calls for a detox.


I make sure to cut ALL TIES with carbs and sugars, even fruits during the time period that I am fighting a yeast infection. It's a sad break-up, but well worth your vaginal health. If you stop feeding the cause, the yeast in your body doesn't have anything to live off of and will die. This may cause you to experience die-off symptoms, such as headache, acne, etc. This is normal.


Then, I actually use hemp/CBD infused coconut oil applied topically to my vulva every time after I go to the restroom and dry myself completely. Coconut oil can be a great yeast-fighter, but can also be a yeast-FEEDER if the oil has gone rancid (and you can't usually tell by smell alone with oils), so if you notice symptoms getting worse after coconut oil application, cease use of it entirely.


Internally, I take a blend of Frank's Toothache Tincture (works for way more than just toothaches). This consists of Chaparral, Cloves, Comfrey, Echinacea, Garlic, Goldenseal, Myrrh, Osha Root, Propolis and Sage. It tastes like juiced-trash, but it is so incredibly effective. If you don't want to taste it, ordering veggie capsules and putting a dropper full of the blend into a capsule and quickly taking it before the capsule dissolves, is an option.


I also, at the same time, take Roots To Remedies Candida Tincture consisting of Olive Leaf, Wormwood, Black Walnut, Cats Claw Bark, Pau D'Arco, Garlic, Oregano, Turmeric, and Clove. This destroys the source of the issue for the yeast infection, Candida and/or parasites.


While I have garlic going through my digestive system, at the same time I am inserting either a clove of real garlic (with holes poked into it), or two capsules of pure garlic oil.


Each day during the yeast infection madness, I am also doing Yoni Steams with a blend that I hand-prepare, Motherwort, Echinacea, Comfrey, Chamomile, Rose, Sage, Lavender, Himalayan Sea Salt and Apple Cider Vinegar.


It is also important to me to take L-Glutathione when I have an infection. This helps mucus membranes become loose and thin, therefore creating more cervical mucus to flush out my vagina naturally.


Finally, having a Witch Hazel/Apple Cider Vinegar blend spray at hand for comfort, relief, and infection-fighting, is super helpful!


Some people find effectiveness in Boric Acid suppositories and Tea tree oil suppositories but I personally have not had success, or much comfort, in either of those remedies before, but definitely something to explore and see if it is right for you!
