The Fourth Trimester is an absolutely real event for mother and baby and it tends to be the only trimester that the typical childbirth classes just do not cover, but they should. Hormones are plummeting, mom and baby are learning how to breastfeed, baby wants to be held constantly and how is anyone supposed to sleep when baby sleeps, when there are dishes and laundry to be done, anyways?! Rest assured, this is all normal and you do not have to go through it alone!
Postpartum services that I love to be a part of include emotional support, breastfeeding/pumping assistance, belly binding, belly salves, yoni steaming, making ice pads for perineal healing, sitz baths, housekeeping, laundry, gentle baby soothing techniques, newborn care, night nanny-ing, cloth diaper prep/wash/education, sibling care, grocery shopping, errand running, healthy meal preparation, and natural community connections as needed such as pediatricians, chiropractors, IBCLCs and more. Services range between $12-20 an hour, depending on the services needed.
